Well It is Day 10 In Africa and we have just returned home from 3 days at Caia. Caia is a small village just 10 Minutes from the Zambizi River. We held a Pastors and Leaders Seminar for all the small churches in and around the Caia region.
It was only a small seminar but we managed to have at least 15 Pastors there, and there were a few of their wives that managed to attend aswell.
All of the team members from Home got to share their testimony and a few short messages. The pastors have been responding very well and they seemed to have enjoyed their time with us, as we enjoyed the time with them.
Over here in Africa at the placesi have been able to share a message or two i have really felt that i have needed to share mainly on the power of prayer, and how important it is to have a good prayer life.
In one of my messages i shared i explained that prayer is just about asking for certain things like healing and provision along with comfort and security, but that prayer is a time where we can become closer to God and develop our relationship with him.
I explained that as we pray a few things happen, 1. We surround ourselve with Gods Presence.
I told a story of when i was at a school camp in grade 10, and that camp was probably the most craziest camp in the way of fights between all of us student and it was just every man for themselves. mainly the girls were the main people involved in arguments but us guys had a few blues.
But i found that on the 3rd night of the camp i was just so angry and annoyed and i didnt want to be there that i just got up from where i was sleeping and went and sat in an empty field. I started talking with God as if He was sitting right beside me. When i said that the pastors eyes just opened up, they never thought that you could talk to God like that.
But i just told them how i really was feeling alone and that my spirit had dried up, I asked God that night to just refresh my Spirit and fill me with his fire and surround me with his presence.
After a few minutes of speaking in tounges, well it felt like a few minutes, it turned out to be an hour, A wind just blew from the East of the Field to the West. I beleive that wind was sent by God, as it just refreshed my spirit that night. I began Weeping and weeping and i have to say it felt pretty awesome. But that night i was surrounded by Gods presence.
I explained that by spending time with God everyday in Prayer, not a big holy prayer like they think, but just talking with Him as if he was right next to you is important as it helps to grow your relationship with him. I encouraged them to read their Bible everyday and just spend time in God Presence.
Thats only a portion of the message i shared but they responded well to it i beleive. I think they were just shocled that you could actually talk with God like that.
This trip is coming to a close very quickly but it has been an amazing experience. There has been alot of Ups and Downs of the trip but i am glad i have come on it.
